Dress Obsessed :: Dorothy Perkins

I recently stumbled upon the most adorable and affordable website EVER. I'm not sure exactly how I've never heard of this online retailer before, but they also have 600 UK locations... which blew my mind even further.  No US locations although I might buy enough for them to open a store right down the street from me... you're welcome Uptown Dallas.  Here are some of my favorite dresses that will be hitting my closet as soon as they can deliver them to me. Check out the whole website but the girly dresses are by far my biggest weakness on this sight.

I want that one to wear to my birthday party this year! {or to wear to my friends bachelorette party which is what I am doing the weekend of my birthday... seems fitting for either right?}

They also have a million different great accessories at amazing prices too! That will have to be saved for a whole different post... and paycheck.

I am sorry to say I only took about 5 pictures on my current vacation to Colorado so there will most likely not be a post. Maybe next time I will do better!

Dress for Who? :: YOURSELF

Ok ok ok... you can already tell this is going to be yet another corny post {hey, I am going through a changing/transition stage. Let me}.  But ALAS this perfect quote was put in front of my face and it made me think "OMG OMG OMG I ALWAYS SAY THAT!!!".  So I will keep it short and sweet because you've all heard me talk about this before and no one wants to hear me rant on and on about it but this quote couldn't be more perfect.

Bam.  Who knows it better than Betsy Johnson?  I have been saying this for years and have some friends who completely agree and have some friends who I think pretend to agree but it's clear they do not {did I just lose some friends?}. Once I started TRULY following this was when I got dressed much easier, and quite frankly just became flat out happier.  I know it sounds ridiculous but I don't give a shit {excuse my french...} if you like my outfit or not... I LOVE it, which in turn makes me ultra confident, which in turn makes me more attractive to people.

So go out wearing your light pink leather shorts {just bought some...}, open toe booties {went on a date once in them and the first thing the boy said to me was "interesting shoes..." "They are my favorite so I am going to pretend you didn't say that in that tone of voice" is what I said back. One date was all it took... to never go on another}, long sleeve maxi dresses, brogues, high waist flares, and anything else people deem to be "unflattering". {did this just turn into a Miller Light commercial?}

And with that I am going to go get dressed for drinks... guess who might wear a maxi dress with a fur vest in 100 degree heat tonight? You guessed it....

Friendship

I'm sorry my hiatus took longer than planned.  It took a day to get over this weekend {if you remember the Ozarks took over my life...}, and then my internet wasn't working.  For some reason it didn't occur to me to call Time Warner until tonight because I NEEDED my internet to do a Project Runway Draft.  Yes, I said it.  Me and 5 of my friends do a draft and pick our teams and then keep points all season long.  You should try it, it makes almost anything enjoyable! So thirty minutes before the draft started I was on speaker with someone from Time Warner EXTREMELY stressed out since I hadn't even researched my picks yet.  I am the reigning champion after picking Anya last year so I felt I had a lot to live up to.  Anyway I am back but only in time for a short post before I fall into a DEEP slumber {why do I keep all capping words tonight?}.  I was doing some right before sleep pinning and came across this one that couldn't be more perfect for this month.  I am having a lot of college/best friend bonding time with some people I don't get to see on a regular basis but it doesn't matter... this says it perfectly.

I couldn't of said it better myself. We came from 3 different states and it was like we were sophomores again.  This coming weekend I head to Austin to see 1 friend who thankfully moved closer to me and 1 that is coming from Kansas City who I haven't seen in probably a year.

Ok, my computer is literally dying. She was nice enough to stay awake long enough for me to finish.

Until tomorrow my corny friendship post followers!

Molly

Weekend Away...

Well, it's finally here! The annual Pledge Class Lake of the Ozarks trip has arrived once again.  I will be heading out early tomorrow morning to make a drive that is probably too long but completely worth it! I get to spend an entire weekend in a bikini at the beautiful Ozarks with 6 of my best friends on the planet! Aggressive nail polish... Pink, Mint & Gold all on just 10 fingers? Check! 3 swim suits packed and basically nothing else? Check! Bud Light, Boones Farm, Vodka? Check! Badass play list ready to set the tone of the weekend? CHECK! I can't think of anything better so until I am back this is the post I leave you with.  A little taste of what my weekend has in store... I know you probably don't care, but humor me? Thanks.

We will be doing a lot of this...

A little of this...

Definitely some of this...

Maybe even a little of this... {Wabashing for those of you who weren't special enough to attend the best school on earth..}

Jealous yet? Yep... {You should also hop over to my wabashing friends blog here}.

I hope everyone does something fun this weekend even if it's not quite what my weekend will be.

Southern Hippie :: Saturday Shopping Day

If you are in Dallas on Saturday afternoon I have the PERFECT shopping idea for you. I unfortunately {and fortunately} will be at the Lake of the Ozarks with my pledge class acting like a Sophomore again.  However what I would be doing if I were in town would be going to the cutest airstream you've ever seen straight from Austin that will be set up on Greenville Ave right outside of Siegel's between 2 - 6pm.  It's called Southern Hippie and it's stocked full of the cutest dud's you've ever seen to look exactly like what the name suggests. Not to mention the fact that the owner Elizabeth is one of the cutest, sweetest girls I've met you basically have NO reason not to be there.

If you can't be there check out her Facebook page.  I'm not joking when I say she has the best line up in her store.  Show Me Your MuMu, Line & Dot, LNA, Vanessa Mooney, Rory Beca... the list goes on but one thing I'm sure of, you will want to buy all of it.

With so many cool lines you will walk out of the incredibly cool airstream looking a million times cooler then you did when you walked in! It's so cool I said cool 3 times in one sentence and then twice in the next one... Have I made my point?

Stop by on Saturday and check it out! Buy some Show Me Your MuMu shorts and dresses for me while you're at it!

Molly

Neiman Marcus & Target Collaborate! Merry Christmas to All!

So you thought you had Target and Neiman's all figured out didn't you? Well you don't.  The mega retailers have just announced that they will be collaborating for a Holiday collection hitting stores December 1st.  This is a first as the collection will feature 24 designers and will be carried in both stores. That's right, you can get it at Target or at Neiman Marcus {and both online as well!} and get this, it's all the same things, same prices. If you aren't as giddy as a school girl right now then I don't think you have a pulse!  I am going to start saving now, this might be the most exciting Target collaboration EVER and I honestly don't know how they would ever top this... ever.

The 24 designers are as follows {I squeal with each one I read... I think you might do the same!}

Alice + Olivia
Altuzarra
Band of Outsiders
Brian Atwood
Carolina Herrera
Derek Lam
Diane Von Furstenberg
Eddie Borgo
Jason Wu
Judith Leiber
Lela Rose
Marc Jacobs
Marchesa
Oscar de la Renta
Philip Crangi
Prabal Gurung
Proenza Schouler
Rag & Bone
Robert Rodriguez
Rodarte
Skaist-Taylor
Thom Browne
Tory Burch
Tracy Reese

I can't wait for the look book to get here! Although it might make me cry.... {tears of joy obvi}.

As New York Mag put it so perfectly, it's basically the CFDA's Christmas party invite list {which is interesting since Target & Neiman Marcus are donating $1mil to the CFDA}. The collection will be about 50 items and range anywhere from $7.99 to $499 and can be anything from women's, children's, men's, sporting goods, home, etc etc.

I would camp out for this. Anyone want to camp out with me? Merry Christmas to Molly!

Molly

Obsessing Over :: Madeline Chadwick

I am in the market for a new bag.  I know exactly what I want, the problem is my bank account can't afford it.  Browsing online tonight I think I finally found the next one...

Madeline Chadwick :: Steel Blue Lucy :: $175

Madeline Chadwick :: Canary Yellow Lucy Bag :: $175

I'm leaning toward the Steel Blue with the pink stitching.  I think this would be the perfect complement to ALL of my outfits.

Festive Polish :: Happy 4th!

I have a problem.  I like to paint my nails 5 minutes before I leave my apartment, it will never change.  This morning I decided I need festive nail polish for drinks with the girls tonight, so I took off my bright pink and replaced it with the first coat of this.  Then, I went home for lunch and 5 minutes before leaving I did the 2nd coat and the gold flakes. Some say I have a problem, however I think I have a gift.  I can get my keys out of my bag, lock my door, start my car and get my work badge out of my bag for work with JUST painted nails... talent, that's what I have, a talent folks.

So I'm also not great at painting my nails and with as often as I do it you'd think I'd be a professional.  Well I have it all over my fingers for the first 24 hours but it always flecks off, but since there's no fleck off time here's the picture anyway... {leave your judgement on the side...}

So I used these... {OPI Malanga Wine & OPI Russian Navy. With Glitter Nail Lacquer from American Apparel in Meteor Shower} to get this...

Like I said, ignore the paint around the edges.  It comes off in like 2 - 3 hours!

Happy 4th of July!!

America!

Cover Girl :: Blake Lively

Blake Lively is this month's Marie Claire cover girl... {sigh}.  She is one of my favorite fashion ladies on the planet so I instantly tore the pages open to see how amazing she looked.  She didn't disappoint.

So gorgeous!
