Banana Republic :: Trina Turk Collection

Are you as intrigued as I am about Banana Republic teaming up with Trina Turk to do a collection together for BR stores?  Maybe not everyone is but coming from someone who's closet looks like they threw up color, you can bet I will be there to see what this is all about!

What's more they are teaming up with ASPCA to raise awareness for animal cruelty, yet another fantastic reason to support this line.  Check out the freaking ADORABLE video with the cute little furry pups wearing necklaces and scarves and just in general rompin around. Tell me that doesn't warm your little heart?

They also have a fun cocktail party set up for some locations around the US.  Here's the invite... if you're near one you should attend! {ahem... Dallas you have 2 options so really no excuse}.  I will be in Atlanta so I might pop in that location if work allows.

Happiness in Quotes

So, I've been MIA. I know, sorry.  Life kind of got in the way and it seemed that living it was more important at the time then sitting down to blog.  Plus I haven't had 30 minutes alone besides sleeping before this Monday since I don't even know when... busy isn't always bad.  It distracts you from the things you don't want to think about and makes you happy for the things you do have.  I will be back in full force soon but until then these are some quotes that fit exactly how I feel at the moment or just made me laugh out loud.  Enjoy, and I hope at least one does the same for you on this incredibly stormy Wednesday morning.

Or the characters (yes... they are characters...) on the Bachelorette like we know them.

Sometimes you have to live like Blair, with that much attitude and drive you can literally do anything.

I also like to live by "Don't get dressed for a man, get dressed for yourself, your confidence is much sexier then a tight short skirt." Yes you can quote me on that...
Trust me on this one too... once you stop living your life by that picture you drew 5 - 10 years ago your life gets better then what you ever could have imagined.

This one pertains to most of my girl friends.  Also, I have been getting made fun of a lot lately for walking a mile and then doing yoga as my only form of "real" exercise/being outdoorsy.

Oh come on... don't judge me.  We have all had those moments when we realize we are being completely absurd and have probably said these exact words.

First thing I do when I walk in the door... again don't act like you don't too.

Obsessed with :: Moon & Lola

While in Atlanta Market about a month ago I had the privilege of going to dinner with the designers of Britt Ryan {always been obsessed and love these girls} and Moon & Lola jewelry one night.  Kelly from Moon & Lola was nice enough to tell me to come by their showroom one day after work and order a few goodies and I obviously took her up on this great offer.  I received my first piece last Wednesday when I returned from New York and it was like Christmas!

I got this necklace in dark navy.  I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to wear it often but that has not been the case at all.  I have been layering it on with lots of other necklaces and wearing it everyday.  I can't wait to get my big white bauble necklace in a couple weeks! Atlanta Market is right around the corner too... wonder what I will get next?

Alright, I give up on trying to fix my camera and trying to take decent pictures on a blackberry.  I've been saying it for weeks but I see an iPhone in my future VERY soon.... Instagram will be the first app.

Travel :: My Trip in Pictures

So I mentioned before I was having phone and camera issues.  Thankfully my phone decided to start working a day into my trip.  Yes, I still have a blackberry so my pictures aren't amazing but it's all I could I get so enjoy... my very one sided trip to NY!  From the Piers, to my hotel, and a couple stops for dinner. Hopefully my next trip to NY is much more fun filled.... I will see what I can do!

Yes, we went all the way from Dallas to New York and went to eat at a Mexican restaurant.  The girls from L.A. though swore by this place and it was just a few blocks from where we were working.  I have to agree, although it's no Manny's or Mico the chilaquiles were something to write home about.  Sounds like we will be frequenting this spot on other trips.

The biggest coffee cup I could find all week.... sad.

A pink coat with real rabbit fur for Holiday... I died and went to coat heaven.

Blazer with sequin sleeves... you will see me in this from October - next February.

Just because we work in fashion doesn't mean all we want for lunch is lettuce.  After eating the catered salad we were all extremely cranky by about 3:30pm so we went in search of real food... mmmm... much better.

Floral silk top, leather leggings, peep toe booties...

My favorite Owl buddy goes with me almost everywhere... Does she creep you out? Good...

Next time I will venture out and get better pictures until then... Have a wonderful fun filled, relaxing weekend!!

Current Obsession :: Silk Print Wide Leg Pants

Yes, you read that right.  I am currently obsessing over silk print wide leg pants.  I am in NY for Intermezzo this week {don't except a travel post... my phone and camera decided to stop liking me.  I will try though!} and I can assure you that for Fall and Holiday 2012 you will be craving these comfy chic pants too.  Well, I want them now and plan on finding a Summer friendly pair to then take me into Fall.  I think these are some good options.

I generally hate the way most stores style things on their websites and this is no exception.  Thankfully I can easily look past that and know these are probably much longer then they look.  I would wear these with a big chunky wedge and white silk tank.  Pair lots of bracelets and necklaces and you are ready for a night out.

For a slightly sleeker look than most this is a great option.  Most give off the hippie I just got home from Coachella feel but these feel preppy and put together.

These ladies are my favorite! Actually go to Free People's website and you will have your fill of wide leg silk print pants. These however are perfect for casual or dressed up for cocktails.  Oh and I actually like the styling... shocker.  These may be going home with me soon, I see a bright future for us together.

Molly

Fashionable Revenge :: Ashley Madekwe

Ok so I am TOTALLY stealing this post from Lucky but OMG... good idea I thought! But then... researching I found that Ashley Madekwe {who ironically plays Ashley on the show} has her OWN STYLE BLOG, called Ring My Bell!! I love her style on the show so I was THRILLED to know she probably dresses herself because she's that badass.

I could talk about the show all day... anyone else? Wanna have a coffee date to discuss? I think my friends and family are starting to get annoyed by how much I talk about this obsession.  Anyway... I will stop boring you....

Here are some of my favorite looks I found from Ashley.

The neon shoes are the cutest things I've ever seen!!! Those floral pants!!! You know the best part? She doesn't wear all high end even though she is on one of the best shows in the world right now... Zara, Top Shop, you name it!

I know what I will be doing the rest of the night... stalking her blog... sorry Ash.
