What I Wore :: Pink Pleats

I have been in Atlanta now for what feels like forever.  Did I move into the Westin downtown? I think so...  I started off on a good outfit foot though.  This is what I wore to market on Thursday, my packing has failed me and it's only gone down hill from there, luckily I wear samples most days.  A girl I work with told me I looked like Blair from Atlantic-Pacific this day so obvi I had to document the look.  I immediately told her she was my favorite person in the entire world for saying that... it may have freaked her out a bit.

Anyway, I finally had a coworker take a picture of me wearing my new favorite pleated pink skirt from Line & Dot.  I love that it's long enough to wear with my new extremely tall wedges too.

Please excuse the bad background.  My one stipulation was that we had to go where no one could see her taking my picture.  That meant the back hallway of the showrooms that is not the most pleasing thing to look at.  I also told her she had to hurry so no one would question our sanity, which is why these are the only 2 pictures. You get the idea though.

I have been dreaming about these ladies for a good month now.  I finally pulled the trigger and can't stop wearing them.

Finally back to Dallas tomorrow night, just in time to catch up on the Bachelorette before finishing my last 4 days of work after an 18 day stretch finally comes to an end.

What I Wore :: Neon Pink Jeans

I know you've seen the neon/colorful denim for Spring.  If you haven't may I ask where you've been hiding? Under a rock perhaps? If you aren't under that rock I bet you've been wondering how you're supposed to wear those bright jeans.  Well it's not as hard as you think.  Wear them with the same things you wear your other denim with but make sure that the colors don't clash.  Really isn't that the key to any outfit? Proportions and making sure the colors don't clash.  Master that and you've mastered fashion.

See how I wore my new 7 For All Mankind neon pink crop skinnies below.

Now my sweet blogger friends.  I am new at this taking pictures of myself thing.  A. the photographer used his iPhone and is about 2 feet taller than me {which is why it looks like it's from a slightly weird angle... although I think he did a masterful job don't you? Thanks SB!}. B. I am SO uncomfortable in front of a camera it's ridiculous.  Especially in a picture by myself! Oh... yeah it's uncomfortable.  So anyway get passed that and let's focus on the important thing.  The outfit!  You can get the same jeans here.  I love this color, it is neon pink but depending on the light and what you pair them with they look red too, I think of it as a 2 for one.  Throw on a t-shirt {this one is from Forever 21}, a blazer {mine is from Anthropologie} and my favorite part is the turquoise necklace {this one is from Banana Republic}.  I think bringing in a bright accessory on the other side of the color spectrum is the perfect way to balance it out.  Not so brave? Wear your bright jeans with a white top {button down or t-shirt} and you're set!

Stay tuned for the next What I Wore with neon blue jeans wore in the monotone way that is also popular for Spring!

Molly

Recap :: Mockingbird Station "What to Wear" Event!

Hi lovelies!  I had so much fun Saturday afternoon at the What to Wear event at Mockingbird Station! It was wonderful to meet some great bloggers from around the city and so fun to get to meet and style our "everyday girl Kendall {who has great style on her own which made it even more fun!}.  Here are some pictures taken by my amazing sister Carla... {you can add a real camera to my electronic needs list along with a new computer...}.

The models were INCREDIBLE, most of which have actually walked in NY Fashion Week and made me feel like a squatty frog, oh well.  All of the looks came from Urban Outfitters, Ann Taylor Loft, Movida, and Francesca's Closet.  If you have any specific questions on where something came from shoot me an email here!

Unfortunately Jennifer Buxton of Real Posh Mom couldn't make it so it ended up being the sweet sisters Courtney and Allison Edwards of Where Wear in the City styling the adorable Alice {the one in the fur vest, skirt and purple top outfit above}.  Then styling the fabulous Kendall was the amazingly sweet and adorable Katie Bibb Anderson of Modern-Eve and me.

Pants :: Hunter Dixon
Jacket :: Cynthia Steffe
Shoes :: Aldo
Necklaces :: Multiple Strands - Forever 21
Vintage Owl Necklace :: Feathers Vintage Shop in Austin TX {side note: I die for this store.  Check out the blog because they do a good job of showcasing things they sell! I am headed to Austin this coming weekend and will try my best to pop in and highlight some of my current favs!}
Watch :: Michael Kors
Bangles :: World Market

My fashionista-in-the-making niece Anna! Her bedroom is decorated with all things pink and Paris {yep... she already has an obsession with the City of Lights!}. Also, my fabulous sister Carla {thank you again for the great pictures!} who was so sweet to take time out of being an amazing mommy to 3 gorgeous kiddos to come support me!

Last but not least! Here is my partner in crime Katie from Modern-Eve! {isn't she completely adorable?!} It was so wonderful to meet her in person! She was so sweet and helpful on my first "blogger" event. Now I can't wait for the next one!

What I Wore :: Lunch with a Friend

Dress :: Testament.  Necklace :: AnthropologieClutch :: Elaine Turner.  Sunglasses :: Michael Kors.

I went to lunch today with my old friend Stephanie! It was great to see her since we haven't been able to catch up lately.  So this is what I wore to our lunch at Bella Luna Cafe {which was super yummy if you're in Wichita!}.  This is my favorite dress in the world right now... it's comfortable, easy, and incredibly easy to dress up or down.  Excuse the hair... I opted out of washing it today and it's not the best top knot I've ever done {I realized after the pictures were taken... Since my helpful dad took them I decided to go with bad hair instead of have him do it again...}.  But you get the idea!  This necklace is one of my favorites too.  I love that you can make it long like this or shorter, more of a bib necklace to give it different looks!

TGIFFFF!!!
