20 Times a Lady :: Event/Contest

Well I have finally recovered from my weekend in Nashville with 11 of the best friends a girl could ask for.  More on it later but for now I have exciting news! I will be hosting an event on February 12th called 20 Times a Lady at Castle Nail Salon in Mockingbird Station!  Tickets sold out literally 5 minutes after they announced it... I was floored... and so excited! 

Mostly I'm excited because all proceeds go towards the Genesis Women's Shelter which is close to my heart. I have had the pleasure of listening to Jan Edgar Langbein, the Executive Director of the organization, speak at a Junior League meeting. This may sound weird but she stole my heart. She made everyone laugh so hard they were crying at some points and then she just flat out had everyone crying at another. She held the attention of the room in the palm of her hand and made me realize I wanted to help... and be EXACTLY LIKE HER when I finally grow up.

I know I said it was sold out BUT I have a free ticket for YOU.  It's for a mani and a pedi, paired with some bubbly and is 2 days before Valentines Day so perfect timing right?!

  Yes, you may have guessed I am basically boycotting Valentine's Day this year.  I have offered to babysit my sisters dog Potter while they are in Colorado in the mountains for the weekend. Honestly... I can't think of a better fluffy man to spend Valentines Day with.  At least my nails will be pretty for Potter...

All you have to do to win the free ticket to next weeks shindig is either "LIKE" Pretty in Pink Style on Facebook and/or "FOLLOW" me on Twitter. THAT'S it! You get more entries for doing both and extra {2 more entries} for sharing my page or event on Facebook or Twitter. It's that easy! Contest ends this Sunday February 10th at 6pm.  I promise it will be a great time but more importantly it's about 24 girls, mani's, pedi's, and bubbly... so, who needs an excuse?

Mockingbird Station :: What to Wear Event

Hello lovelies! Have you missed me? I know... I have been totally MIA and I have no excuse for it.  Life got in the way a little and I made the conscience decision to let it and take a teeny tiny break from the blog.  Well I'm back but only hardly tonight.  I wanted to share with you my guest post on Mockingbird Station's blog for their What to Wear Event next week! Even though I haven't been able to attend many events lately I am still a station insider so check out my post to see what you should go snatch up at the many great stores there just in time to wear to the event!

I wish I could go but alas I will be back in NYC {rough huh?}.  I will do an EXTRA good job of taking pictures and blogging some fun stuff while there.  Until I get time for something more go over to Mockingbird Station's blog and see my post there!

What to Wear Invite :: Mockingbird Station

This one is centered around outdoor Spring Vacation fashions and is lead by DFW Style Daily editor Lisa Petty.  It's at the Lofts pool from 6pm to 8pm!

Recap :: Mockingbird Station "What to Wear" Event!

Hi lovelies!  I had so much fun Saturday afternoon at the What to Wear event at Mockingbird Station! It was wonderful to meet some great bloggers from around the city and so fun to get to meet and style our "everyday girl” Kendall {who has great style on her own which made it even more fun!}.  Here are some pictures taken by my amazing sister Carla... {you can add a real camera to my electronic needs list along with a new computer...}.

The models were INCREDIBLE, most of which have actually walked in NY Fashion Week and made me feel like a squatty frog, oh well.  All of the looks came from Urban Outfitters, Ann Taylor Loft, Movida, and Francesca's Closet.  If you have any specific questions on where something came from shoot me an email here!

Unfortunately Jennifer Buxton of Real Posh Mom couldn't make it so it ended up being the sweet sisters Courtney and Allison Edwards of Where Wear in the City styling the adorable Alice {the one in the fur vest, skirt and purple top outfit above}.  Then styling the fabulous Kendall was the amazingly sweet and adorable Katie Bibb Anderson of Modern-Eve and me.

Also, my fabulous sister Carla {thank you again for the great pictures!} who was so sweet to take time out of being an amazing mommy to 3 gorgeous kiddos to come support me!

Last but not least! Here is my partner in crime Katie from Modern-Eve! {isn't she completely adorable?!} It was so wonderful to meet her in person! She was so sweet and helpful on my first "blogger" event. Now I can't wait for the next one!

Happy Weekend!

Is everyone else as happy it's the weekend as I am?  I can't wait for the What to Wear Fashion event at Mockingbird Station tomorrow at 1pm! It all takes place at West Elm so I hope you can make it! There is a cocktail event after the runway show and I would love to meet all of you Dallasites. After the big event I am in for some relaxing and football {go Cats!}.

"What to Wear" :: Fall Fashion Event!!

Good morning my fashionable readers!! I can't tell you how happy I was to wake up cold to a 40 degree morning!! {before you think I'm sarcastic... I'm not... I LOVE cold weather.  Which basically means Texas is one of the worst states for me to live in...} Well any who... DUNDUN DUUUUN {that drumroll noise... you know? I don't know how to spell it....}!! Here is the exciting news I was talking about!

On November 12th from 1pm - 3pm, Mockingbird Station will be hosting a "What to Wear" event. It's a fall styling event featuring fashion, live music, gift bags, free makeovers, yummy food, cocktails, and a fashion show!! I believe most of it takes part at West Elm across from Urban Outfitters.  Yours truly will be one of the 4 fashion bloggers who will team up to dress 2 girls in easy looks for fall.  We will then MC a fashion show with our looks being the finale.  There will be fun foods and cocktails with a whole cocktail "mingle" hour after the fashion show! I hope you can all make it out for this!!! If you are in Dallas I will expect to see you there.  I'd also LOOVEEE to meet any readers I don't already know so please please come and introduce yourself!  Here's a copy of the press release with more details.
