I Believe In....

I believe in laughing.

I believe in making mistakes... big mistakes and then letting myself more on quickly and learning from them.

I believe in peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, every day for lunch.

I believe girlfriends are the best medicine for anything that is wrong.

Night out with friends in Kansas City.
I believe that working your ass off will eventually pay off.

I believe that being 5 lbs over my "goal" weight but eating the tacos, french fries, and drinking the beer, in the long run makes me a happier girl.

I believe that watching Love Actually and crying your eyes out is how to get over a broken heart, and keeps my faith that "Love is all around..."

I believe in watching Glee, Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, and Revenge and not being embarrassed about how much I love it.

Quinn Fabray and Rachel Berry
I believe in candles.

I believe in the color pink.

I believe a fur vest makes any outfit a little better.

I believe that dressing up and being girly makes me amazingly happy.

I also believe that sitting in my sweat pants drinking red wine makes me amazingly happy.

I believe in family.  The kind of family that makes you mad, cry, yell, and fight but also makes you laugh until you cry and understands you better than you understand yourself.

I believe in reading to escape to a different place.

I believe in flowers.

I believe in crying, even if you're not completely sure why you're doing it.

I believe in the power of being alone.

I believe in watching old movies with Audrey Hepburn and Lucille Ball to make me feel like I am in a different time and place.

Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire in Funny Face
I believe in singing ridiculous songs at the top of my lungs.

I believe in "All I Want for Christmas is You"by Mariah Carey.

I believe in the power of New York City, and the magic of Paris.

I believe in being a little naive over being jaded.

I believe in being a kind person.

I believe in Birthday's, and Birthday party's, no matter how old you are turning.

I believe women should be strong enough to stand their ground but able to always embrace their femininity.

I believe true love exists.

I believe in living life to it's fullest, traveling when I can, and being there for my family and friends, even if it means my bank account can barely pay a bill sometimes.

I believe being over dressed is always better than being underdressed.

Oscar de la Renta Gown
I believe in dancing like no one is watching; when everyone is watching.

I believe your real friends will always be there. No matter what life brings.

I believe in college football, and tailgating.

I believe in Fall; the trees, the smells, pumpkins; everything.

I believe in coffee.

I believe that a great outfit can make all the difference in your attitude and mood.

Above all else I believe that being comfortable in your own skin and truly being who you are is the only way to be entirely happy.

I stole this idea from Monica at Finer Feelings who just happens to make an appearance in one of my pictures. {or several through out the blog...}

Fall Fever :: Boot Obsessed

I love Fall. EVERYTHING about it.  I just got to New York for Coterie which means that I start wearing Fall clothing whether the weather permits or not. {Ok so there was a random drop in temp last week for Dallas so I started a little early.} I love fur vests, jackets, layering, scarves, but most of all, I have a love affair with boots.  So far this Fall I have bought 1 pair.  They have not arrived yet but OMG I can't wait....

Aren't they beyond amazing?  Get ready because I will be wearing them with everything. The first outfit will be red jeans and a fur vest but the options are literally endless. Fingers crossed they've arrived once I get home...

Mockingbird Station :: What to Wear Event

Hello lovelies! Have you missed me? I know... I have been totally MIA and I have no excuse for it.  Life got in the way a little and I made the conscience decision to let it and take a teeny tiny break from the blog.  Well I'm back but only hardly tonight.  I wanted to share with you my guest post on Mockingbird Station's blog for their What to Wear Event next week! Even though I haven't been able to attend many events lately I am still a station insider so check out my post to see what you should go snatch up at the many great stores there just in time to wear to the event!

I wish I could go but alas I will be back in NYC {rough huh?}.  I will do an EXTRA good job of taking pictures and blogging some fun stuff while there.  Until I get time for something more go over to Mockingbird Station's blog and see my post there!

Gameday Cloth :: Tailgate/Football Kickoff

So I apologize for being so MIA. And I'm not back in full force yet. I'm still exhausted from my month of travel even though I basically slept the entire weekend.  I'll tell you one that that gets me pumped up even if I am beyond tired... College Football Season!

Kick off the best time of the year by going to Gameday Cloth's Tailgate tomorrow for the Alabama/Michigan game being hosted in Dallas.  But really does it matter who's playing? It's football season people.... Plus adorable Emily Loftiss from Loftiss Says will be there so you don't need anymore excuses.  It's at the Shops of Legacy in Plano so jot it down in your planner and plan to head there right after work.

See you there!

Shopping Obsession :: Esther

I fell in love tonight. Now before you go accusing me of falling in love too fast... I don't usually but I couldn't help myself this time. I am head over heels in love with an Australian online boutique... {scared you mom and dad didn't I?}.  I was just going to pre-order this dress:

It doesn't come until September but I think it would be the PERFECT Fall dress for Dallas since it's 100 degrees until Thanksgiving. The website is called Esther and it came about after this adorable girl opened a boutique, won an award, and couldn't keep up with demand because she was stalking her store with the most beautiful clothes at great prices... rough life.  So, I added this lady to my cart and then found:

So I had to add this top to my cart too... I mean... It literally gives me the butterflies!! I am so happy I found this top I may not eat the rest of the week in anticipation of it.

I also found a few other things... I mean it's $200 (AUD) and you get free world wide shipping. Why wouldn't I do that? It's like $50 for shipping otherwise... {Ok it was only $15 but come on.}

Whoops and this one...

Ok so I haven't hit the pay now button but I am going to. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything...

I also did a little stalking and everyone who works at this company is annoyingly ridiculously beautiful which makes me want to be them which makes me want to buy it. Ugh, what an annoying cycle.

Travel :: Colorado

I wasn't going to post about Colorado but why not. I have at least 4 pictures so that will work. Plus I am still exhausted from my 8 day 2 city travel {and don't expect an Atlanta or New York post... you would be bored to tears}.

The Mountains of Colorado early Thursday morning. We did a suicide drive which for those of you who don't know {I hope you don't...} means you drive all night.  As soon as I got in the car I was told I had the easy leg... between 1am and 5am. No you're right, that's ideal.... The only thing that made it bearable was waking up to this.

We hung out in Vail for about 24 hours, being super sporty, drinks and lunch on a patio watching everyone do sporty mountain things. We did nothing sporty in the mountains or in Denver... unless you call laughing  and drinking sporty... then we were really athletic.

It was filled with old friends, new friends, and family. It was the perfect trip.

Back in Denver with my sister to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
