Gameday Cloth :: Tailgate/Football Kickoff

So I apologize for being so MIA. And I'm not back in full force yet. I'm still exhausted from my month of travel even though I basically slept the entire weekend.  I'll tell you one that that gets me pumped up even if I am beyond tired... College Football Season!

Kick off the best time of the year by going to Gameday Cloth's Tailgate tomorrow for the Alabama/Michigan game being hosted in Dallas.  But really does it matter who's playing? It's football season people.... Plus adorable Emily Loftiss from Loftiss Says will be there so you don't need anymore excuses.  It's at the Shops of Legacy in Plano so jot it down in your planner and plan to head there right after work.

See you there!

Shopping Obsession :: Esther

I fell in love tonight. Now before you go accusing me of falling in love too fast... I don't usually but I couldn't help myself this time. I am head over heels in love with an Australian online boutique... {scared you mom and dad didn't I?}.  I was just going to pre-order this dress:

It doesn't come until September but I think it would be the PERFECT Fall dress for Dallas since it's 100 degrees until Thanksgiving. The website is called Esther and it came about after this adorable girl opened a boutique, won an award, and couldn't keep up with demand because she was stalking her store with the most beautiful clothes at great prices... rough life.  So, I added this lady to my cart and then found:

So I had to add this top to my cart too... I mean... It literally gives me the butterflies!! I am so happy I found this top I may not eat the rest of the week in anticipation of it.

I also found a few other things... I mean it's $200 (AUD) and you get free world wide shipping. Why wouldn't I do that? It's like $50 for shipping otherwise... {Ok it was only $15 but come on.}

Whoops and this one...

Ok so I haven't hit the pay now button but I am going to. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything...

I also did a little stalking and everyone who works at this company is annoyingly ridiculously beautiful which makes me want to be them which makes me want to buy it. Ugh, what an annoying cycle.

Travel :: Colorado

I wasn't going to post about Colorado but why not. I have at least 4 pictures so that will work. Plus I am still exhausted from my 8 day 2 city travel {and don't expect an Atlanta or New York post... you would be bored to tears}.

The Mountains of Colorado early Thursday morning. We did a suicide drive which for those of you who don't know {I hope you don't...} means you drive all night.  As soon as I got in the car I was told I had the easy leg... between 1am and 5am. No you're right, that's ideal.... The only thing that made it bearable was waking up to this.

We hung out in Vail for about 24 hours, being super sporty, drinks and lunch on a patio watching everyone do sporty mountain things. We did nothing sporty in the mountains or in Denver... unless you call laughing  and drinking sporty... then we were really athletic.

It was filled with old friends, new friends, and family. It was the perfect trip.

Back in Denver with my sister to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony.

From getting ready for New York, to being here, Pizza at Louie's with a mash up of friends, jewelry shopping, Boulevard seeing, USA cheering, custard eating; it's been a busy week.

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram and you won't miss a random moment... @PrettyinPinkStyle

Travel :: Packing for a Week

As I mentioned in my last post I am in New York today for a few days for Market.  After this we go straight to Atlanta for the next one, then right back to Dallas for ours, followed by leaving the night of our last market day to go to Las Vegas for the last one in August. Phew... if that doesn't make you tired just reading it then I don't know who you are. My next day off {besides the pseudo one yesterday...} is August 25th so if I have a few blonde moments {on the blog and in real life} please excuse me.

My tips for packing consist of; 1. laying everything out on your bed or floor so you can see that you have all your bases covered. 2. Listen to music so it's fun and you don't rush! Rushing is always my biggest packing mistake. Let's be honest. I'm not a good packer. I can make 13 outfits fit into a small suitcase but there's no guarantee there will be 13 outfits that make sense in there... It's always a gamble.

The one thing I've learned is to pack nude/neutral/black shoes.  Probably too many pairs of them but they basically go with anything in my suitcase just in case. {In my book snake print wedges are neutral... }

Yes I did get it all to fit. {minus 1 pair of shoes that got the last minute boot due to a strap looking like it wasn't going to last much longer}.  I do know I am wearing that bright pink dress tomorrow, and then probably again in Atlanta so no one knows I wore it twice in one week, and CAN NOT wait to put it on.

I will let you know next Sunday if packing was a success or a failure, right now the verdict is still up in the air but at least I have plenty of color and neutral shoes to choose from...

Beats to Jam to...

I have had a life changing music moment.  Spotify... something I didn't understand or appreciate until very recently has changed the way I find music.  Although I haven't done much playing around yet I have added about 7 bands to my playlist in the last 4 days thanks to my music savvy friends telling me what to listen to {so really Spotify so far is helping me indirectly}.  This band is so far my favorite...

Listen and enjoy. By the way the video is super random but the lead singer is wearing necklaces in the real video that I just can't endorse... so this is what you get.

Stay tuned for a packing post... New York on Saturday straight to Atlanta on Tuesday.  If that's not stressful packing I don't know what is...

Olympic Celebration! Go U.S.A.!

So we may have known before we all really watched it but who cares? Does it make watching the US men's swim team kicking the total crap out of everyone else in the race that catapulted Michael Phelps into the world record books once again any less exciting? No. It didn't. It also didn't make the Fab 5's victory and tears before they were even finished any less emotional. If you weren't pumping your fist while you watched then you my friend might get kicked out of the country... aka watch your back.

Well I am waiting patiently for my invitation to the celebration party once everyone returns to the States.  I think mine will be hand delivered by Ryan Lochte so I plan to sleep, eat, dream, in something fabulous just in case. Hey, a girl can dream right?

Here's what you should think about wearing to the party if you are lucky enough to be invited too, maybe I will see you there?
